The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hisamori ducks right into an uppercut from Pitts.
Pitts connects with a nice looking jab.

Pitts tries to sprawl but Hisamori drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Pitts has the hooks in. Hisamori is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
I really don't envy Hisamori right now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hisamori is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Pitts doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hisamori.

Hisamori is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Pitts has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Pitts!
Pitts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hisamori. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Fujiwara Hisamori will probably get the nod.

Pitts has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Well Pitts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
