Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Misalchicha Montreal (ranked 4641 p4p, 3388 weight class) and Jeffrey Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Misalchicha Montreal !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jeffrey Blake!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Montreal sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Blake looks to land a combination. Montreal sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Misalchicha Montreal has been cut.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blake enables Montreal to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blake manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Montreal slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Montreal looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Blake prevents Montreal from improving position.
Blake gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Montreal working for a submission but Blake is keeping him at bay.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Montreal is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Blake can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Blake really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Montreal . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blake tries to hold on but Montreal postures up.

Montreal looking for a guillotine from mount but Blake is having none of it.

Montreal is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Blake is surviving well by controlling Montreal 's body position as best he can.
Montreal controlling the position easily from mount.
Blake is squirming around, avoiding Montreal 's attempts to control the action.
Montreal is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Blake is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Blake is in all sorts of trouble here.
Montreal wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.

Montreal is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Blake to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Blake shrugs it off.
Montreal avoids the attempt from Blake to control.

Montreal has control of Blake's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Blake regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Blake wants to control but Montreal is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Montreal is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Blake to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Blake shrugs it off.
Montreal wants to take his opponent's back but Blake doesn't allow it.

Montreal is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Montreal extends the arm and Blake is forced to tap!

In his post fight interview, Misalchicha Montreal started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
