PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Stackhouse (ranked 600 p4p, 1672 weight class) and Jermaine Camacho (ranked 85 p4p, 232 weight class). Stackhouse comes to the cage accompanied by True Blood. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Stackhouse !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jermaine Camacho!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Camacho shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stackhouse pinned against the cage. Stackhouse gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Stackhouse throws an off balance right hand
and Camacho counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Stackhouse throws a lazy uppercut
and Camacho counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Stackhouse attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

A nice inside leg kick there by Camacho. That's going to slow Stackhouse down.
Stackhouse has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Camacho finds it's way round the side to connect with Stackhouse 's head.

Stackhouse is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Camacho.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Camacho pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Oh Stackhouse is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stackhouse throws a jab when Camacho was well out of range.
Stackhouse seems to have got his legs back now.
Stackhouse throws a series of punches but Camacho avoids them all with ease.
Camacho has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stackhouse is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Camacho drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stackhouse dives on top into guard.

Stackhouse got a little sloppy there for a moment and Camacho has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stackhouse has managed to get both his arms back between Camacho's legs - danger averted.

That's time! Stackhouse 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Camacho feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Camacho shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Stackhouse eats them both and turns towards Camacho to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Camacho scores with a jab. Stackhouse acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Camacho has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Stackhouse throws a right hand that Camacho ducks under and follows up with a left that Camacho also avoids with ease.
Camacho looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Camacho goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Camacho's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Stackhouse connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Camacho scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Camacho, as that shot connected.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stackhouse stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Stackhouse throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Camacho sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Camacho takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Camacho works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Camacho gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Stackhouse points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Camacho wakes up just in time to hear Stackhouse thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
