The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Colchester is defended easily by Menard.
Colchester shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Menard pinned against the cage. Menard gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Menard is looking to counter the offense by Colchester and move into the clinch.
A lazy left from Colchester finds it's target.
It looks like Malcolm Menard has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Colchester misses with a few strikes there.
Menard tries to counter by clinching up but Colchester breaks away and moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Colchester shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Menard is trying to defend but Colchester finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Colchester stands up over Menard, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jeez, Malcolm Menard's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Malcolm Menard's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
