The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cozad throws a leg kick

and Kerr counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kerr postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Kerr lands a couple of elbows.
Cozad keeping moving, preventing Kerr from controlling successfully.
Kerr distracts Cozad with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kerr controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kerr landing some decent shots from guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerr is in close to Cozad's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kerr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cozad's head.
Kerr prevents Cozad from getting back to his feet.

Kerr postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Cozad's head off the mat! Cozad is out! He's out! Kerr jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
