The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xan misses with an uppercut.
Vatsadze tries to move into range but Xan moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Xan throws a lazy right hand but Vatsadze sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vatsadze lands an overhand right.
Vatsadze throws a right and a left that Xan avoids nicely.
Vatsadze throws a jab but it's blocked by Xan.
Xan misses with a looping left.
Xan scores with a jab.
Xan throws a lazy right hand but Vatsadze sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Xan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vatsadze.
Vatsadze lands with a hook. Xan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Xan misses with a right hand
and Vatsadze counters with a straight right hand.
Vatsadze moves in looking to clinch but Xan pushes him off.
Vatsadze lands a glancing blow to the side of Xan's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Xan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Xan throws a right hand that Vatsadze ducks under and follows up with a left that Vatsadze also avoids with ease.
Vatsadze throws a looping overhand right but Xan ducks down to avoid it.
Xan misses with an uppercut
and Vatsadze cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Vatsadze moves into the clinch successfully.
Vatsadze lands a right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Vatsadze.
Xan tries to pull guard but Vatsadze holds him up against the cage and eventually Xan drops back down to his feet.
Xan tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Vatsadze smiles and moves away.
Murtaz Vatsadze is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Xan swats away the attempt to clinch by Vatsadze.
Xan walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Xan throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Vatsadze counters with a huge left! Xan is in big trouble! He's backing up but Vatsadze isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Xan from any more damage. A dominating finish by Vatsadze!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Murtaz Vatsadze!
A relieved looking Murtaz Vatsadze thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
