Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Carlos (ranked 1878 p4p, 2202 weight class) and Jacob White (ranked 250 p4p, 282 weight class). Jacob White has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A combination from White does no damage.
White misses with a double jab

and Carlos counters with a single leg into guard. White didn't expect that.
Carlos postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
White is looking to stand up but Carlos isn't so interested in that idea.
Carlos working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Carlos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Carlos goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

White digs a right hand into Carlos's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Carlos's gas tank.

Carlos tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. White just stands there and leans against the cage.

Jacob White seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

White throws a big uppercut that drops Carlos! More strikes from White and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Carlos lies dazed against the cage as White celebrates with his cornermen!
