Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Rection (ranked 2164 p4p, 3683 weight class) and Barry Bonon (ranked 273 p4p, 437 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Barry Bonon!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rection tries to keep at a distance but Bonon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rection stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Rection is trying to trip Bonon. He has hold of a leg but Bonon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Rection persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That's time! Rection's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bonon tries to close the distance and clinch but Rection swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rection drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bonon sprawls and moves away.
Rection shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bonon pinned against the cage. Bonon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rection gets tackled into the cage by Bonon. Bonon maintains the clinch.
Rection has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bonon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
