Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ching Chong (ranked 3163 p4p, 6550 weight class) and Max Power (ranked 387 p4p, 611 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ching Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Power!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chong clinches up against the cage.
Chong taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Chong tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Chong.
Chong stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Chong managing to block the knees to the body from Power.
Chong misses with a body punch.

Chong wants the takedown. Power is fighting it off but Chong persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Power's guard against the cage.
Chong is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Power not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Chong advances to half guard.
Chong throwing shots but Power is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well, if Chong is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Chong has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Chong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Power sees it coming and defends easily.
Chong controlling the action here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Power trying to control but Chong postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Chong dives in and scores a takedown into Power's guard.
Chong looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Power is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Chong's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Chong advances position into side control!
Chong tries to move into full mount but can't pass Power's legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chong happy to just control the position for now.
Chong seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Power for as long as he can get away with.
Power is trying to buck Chong off.
Chong takes a little break here. Power wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Chong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Power knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Chong controls the position.
Chong's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Power clinches with his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ching Chong dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Power avoids the head kick by Chong.

Chong gets a takedown into half guard.
Chong is thwarting Power's attempts to control the position.
Chong thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Power trying to control from the bottom.
Chong perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Power tries to get to full guard but Chong has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chong stalling.

Ching Chong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Chong passes to full mount!
Power keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Chong sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Power is wriggling around trying to escape.
Chong looking to control and managing it successfully.
Chong lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Chong tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Power is desperately trying to improve his position but Chong has a good base and remains in mount.
Chong is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Power can do to turn this around?
Chong looking to control and managing it successfully.

Chong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Power reaches up to try and control the position but Chong seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Power rolls and tries to escape and now Chong has his back!
Power is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Chong continues to stall.

Chong thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Chong controlling the positon.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Chong.

Chong patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Power is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Chong.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Power clinches with his opponent.
Chong on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Power tries a knee to the head but Chong blocks it.
Power tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Chong has Power pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chong pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Power tumbling to the mat - Chong dives into Power's guard.

Chong controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Chong wants to pass the guard but Power is keeping the position.
Power not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Power looking for a sweep. Not yet Power, not yet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Chong shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Power napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Chong controls the position.
The ground and pound from Chong seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Chong advances nicely into full mount.

Power can't escape the position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chong, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
