The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veidt staying out of range there.
A little jabbing left from Veidt on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Veidt misses with a hook from the clinch.
Hematopoye is trying to pull guard but Veidt has him pressed against the cage.
Hematopoye goes for a takedown in the clinch but Veidt prevents it.
Veidt struggles to land a body shot inside as Hematopoye controls his hands.
Veidt has a couple of punches blocked by Hematopoye.
Veidt throws a punch but it's blocked by Hematopoye.
Hematopoye is trying to pull guard but Veidt has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nou Hematopoye. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hematopoye tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Veidt just stands there and leans against the cage.

I was talking to Hematopoye's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Hematopoye is trying to pull guard but Veidt has him pressed against the cage.

Veidt misses with a hook to the ribs.
Veidt lands an uppercut.
Veidt makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Veidt throws a head punch that misses.
Veidt struggles to land a body shot inside as Hematopoye controls his hands.
Veidt tries to work over Hematopoye's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Veidt lands a nice uppercut.
Veidt lands a shoulder strike.

Hematopoye drags the fight down to the ground.

Hematopoye is looking for a triangle but Veidt pushes his legs off easily.
Hematopoye looking to hit a scissor sweep but Veidt is one step ahead there.

Hematopoye has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Veidt is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hematopoye.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Veidt stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Veidt tries to clinch but Hematopoye moves out of range.
Hematopoye takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hematopoye tries for a takedown but Veidt circles away easily
and Veidt counters with a straight right hand.

Hematopoye takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hematopoye takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hematopoye just misses with a punch to the body.
Veidt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hematopoye swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Veidt drops Hematopoye with a beautiful combination! Hematopoye stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Veidt is looking for the KO!

Hematopoye is rocked!

It looks like Nou Hematopoye has been cut.
Veidt cracks Hematopoye with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
