Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Archie Laird (ranked 1124 p4p, 1915 weight class) and Space Jesus (ranked 164 p4p, 269 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Archie Laird has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Archie Laird seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Archie Laird!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Space Jesus!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laird has Jesus up against the cage in a clinch.
Laird turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Jesus gets back to half guard.
Laird definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jesus is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Laird is thwarting Jesus's attempts to control the position.
Laird stalling.
Laird is trying to control the action in half guard but Jesus is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jesus is trying to maintain the position but Laird is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jesus looking for submissions off his back.
Jesus is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Laird pulls his head out easily.

Laird is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Jesus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Laird is working away from the top position though.
Jesus is trying to get back to full guard.
Laird trying to control from half guard but Jesus is working away.
Jesus gets full guard.
Jesus throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Laird keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jesus's head.
Jesus looking for a triangle here. Laird is fighting it but it looks tight! Jesus pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Laird is tapping out - this one is all over!
