Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucy misses with a left hand
and Trumpet counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Trumpet swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lucy.
Lucy misses with a right hand
and Trumpet counters with a stiff right hand.
Lucy takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Lucy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Trumpet counters with a right hand to the body.
Lucy looks to score with a jab to the body but Trumpet is just out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Trumpet.
Trumpet jabs Lucy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Lucy misses with a wild body shot.
Lucy lands a nice hook to Trumpet's body. Trumpet takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Lucy throws the left hand but Trumpet avoids the punch easily.
Trumpet fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Trumpet throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lucy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Trumpet on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Trumpet comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lucy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trumpet moves away.
Trumpet buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Trumpet connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Trumpet lands a right hook to the body.

Lucy throws a jab when Trumpet was well out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Trumpet lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Lucy takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
A punch lands to the side of Lucy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Trumpet's jab looks to have found its range, popping Lucy under the eye.

Léonard Lucy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lucy throws a shot from downtown. Trumpet moves away and avoids it.

Trumpet sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Lucy to the ground! Trumpet dives into full mount looking to finish!
Oh Lucy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lucy tries to reverse the position but Trumpet maintains control.

Trumpet is trying to control the action in half guard but Lucy is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lucy is looking to improve his position.
Trumpet tries to stand and escape but Lucy is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lucy wants to improve his position but Trumpet is controlling well.
Trumpet uses his free foot to push down on Lucy's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lucy.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Donald Trumpet dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Trumpet ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Trumpet counters with a straight right hand.
Lucy rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lucy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lucy looks to score with a jab to the body but Trumpet is just out of range.
Lucy throws a predictable looking body shot
and Trumpet counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Lucy ducks straight into an uppercut from Trumpet and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Lucy manages to regain guard straight away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trumpet wants to get up but he can't break Lucy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Lucy seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Trumpet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Trumpet with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Lucy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lucy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Trumpet puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Trumpet is trying to control. Lucy wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Trumpet paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Trumpet slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Trumpet.
Trumpet connects with a body shot.
Lucy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trumpet moves away.
Trumpet thinks about the counter body kick.
Lucy takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lucy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Trumpet's corner calls for a 1-2. Trumpet obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Lucy takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Trumpet walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Lucy drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Trumpet swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Lucy's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
