Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cajetan Shashi (ranked 4882 p4p, 4344 weight class) and Quinoa Smiff (ranked 535 p4p, 512 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cajetan Shashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Quinoa Smiff!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shashi lands a nice looking body shot.

Shashi shoots in and bounces Smiff off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Shashi advances position into side control!
Shashi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Smiff keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shashi tries for a kimura but Smiff is defending well.

Shashi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smiff knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Shashi is looking to take a break and control but Smiff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Shashi connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smiff some visible discomfort.

Shashi is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Smiff has escaped the position, nice work there.
Shashi tries to advance to mount but can't.
Shashi has knee on belly momentarily but Smiff bucks him off and regains half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shashi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Shashi is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Smiff as he works his way to full guard.
Shashi throws a big right hand that misses.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Shashi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smiff manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Shashi has Smiff in his guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Shashi tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Shashi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Smiff forces his way into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Shashi misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Shashi wants to get back to his feet.
Smiff is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Shashi!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Smiff shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Shashi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Smiff wants to pass the guard but Shashi is keeping the position.
Shashi is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Shashi wants to sweep here but Smiff controlling him for the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smiff is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Smiff wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Shashi, who protects the arm well.

Smiff tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Smiff has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Shashi tries to buck Smiff off but Smiff is having none of it.

Smiff is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shashi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Shashi is looking to regain half guard here but Smiff keeps moving and retains side control.

Shashi looks like he's trying to stand up.

Quinoa Smiff has got the better of the ground game so far.

Shashi looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Smiff is defending well. Shashi quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Smiff has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Shashi celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Cajetan Shashi!
Our winner, Cajetan Shashi, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
Quinoa Smiff was interviewed post fight and said 'He is on steroids!'.
