Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Karhu (ranked 1278 p4p, 1187 weight class) and Francisco Babyara (ranked 164 p4p, 150 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babyara connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Karhu momentarily.
We've been told by Karhu's head coaches at Malmi Aitta that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Babyara lands a really nice looking cross but Karhu seems unphased.

It looks like Jesse Karhu has been cut.

and Karhu counters with a crisp one two that drops Babyara! Karhu thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Babyara to his feet! Babyara is in big trouble!

Karhu lands a big uppercut and Babyara crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Babyara looks OK. Karhu waves Babyara back to his feet!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Karhu throws a hook but Babyara avoids it easily.

Babyara drops Karhu with a beautiful combination! Karhu stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Babyara is looking for the KO!
Babyara is pawing at Karhu, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Karhu's nose. Karhu is badly hurt! Babyara pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Karhu tries desperately to hold on but Babyara is relentless in his assault! As Karhu receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Babyara away and this one is in the books!

Francisco Babyara gave a mention to Helsinki Xtreme Fightwear in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
