Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Salter (ranked 6404 p4p, 6271 weight class) and Delightful Panda (ranked 462 p4p, 457 weight class). Salter comes to the cage accompanied by Dead Or Alive. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Panda forces Salter back against the cage and clinches.
Panda prevents a takedown attempt there.
Salter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Panda fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Panda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Panda lands in his opponent's guard.
Salter keeping moving, preventing Panda from controlling successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Panda stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Salter swivels though and keeps the full guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Panda defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salter.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Salter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Panda ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Panda no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Salter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Panda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Salter has managed to get both his arms back between Panda's legs - danger averted.

Panda has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Salter doesn't defend quickly enough and Panda has managed to lock this one up! Can Salter escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Panda on a fantastic submission victory.
