Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 1, fighting out of London, Edgar Avetisyan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brutalis Rhino!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avetisyan uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rhino.
A lazy left from Rhino finds it's target.

It looks like Edgar Avetisyan has been cut.
Rhino's corner calls for a 1-2. Rhino obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Avetisyan is rocked!
Avetisyan turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Oh Avetisyan is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rhino uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Avetisyan.
Rhino misses with a combination
and Avetisyan counters with an inside leg kick.
Rhino has his takedown stuffed
and Avetisyan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Avetisyan seems to have got his legs back now.
Rhino looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Avetisyan is fending him off so far but Rhino persists. Nope, Avetisyan circles away and we're back to standing.
Avetisyan keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Rhino.
It appears Avetisyan was looking to counter with a kick there.

Rhino gets a takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Avetisyan is looking to escape.
Rhino is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Avetisyan is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rhino scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rhino lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Rhino scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Rhino throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Rhino looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Avetisyan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Avetisyan trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Rhino is trying to control. Avetisyan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rhino might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Avetisyan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Avetisyan is trying to stand.
Avetisyan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rhino not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Avetisyan is trying to stand up here but Rhino is controlling him well.
Avetisyan on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Rhino looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Avetisyan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Avetisyan is looking to escape.
Rhino working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Avetisyan's thigh. Avetisyan counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Avetisyan has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rhino has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Avetisyan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rhino falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Avetisyan to counter with a crisp jab.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Avetisyan walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Rhino checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Rhino fails with an attempt to clinch.
Avetisyan keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Rhino swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Avetisyan.
Rhino explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Edgar Avetisyan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd cheers as Avetisyan lands an impressive looking overhand right. Rhino doesn't seem phased though.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rhino. Avetisyan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Avetisyan closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Rhino shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Avetisyan sprawls well. Avetisyan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Rhino gets slowly back to his feet.
Avetisyan appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Edgar Avetisyan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brutalis Rhino.
Avetisyan scores with a jab. Rhino acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
An inside leg kick lands from Avetisyan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Avetisyan plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rhino shoots in looking for a takedown but Avetisyan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rhino's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Avetisyan misses with an uppercut. Rhino saw that one coming.
Avetisyan blocks a head kick by Rhino.
Avetisyan lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rhino uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rhino with a poor takedown
and Avetisyan counters with a left and a right... And another left! Rhino is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edgar Avetisyan!
Edgar Avetisyan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
