Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rocco Damato (ranked 5030 p4p, 5581 weight class) and Perdue Willshire (ranked 420 p4p, 439 weight class). Damato comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck. Rocco Damato has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rocco Damato!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 31 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Perdue Willshire!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damato closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Willshire's guard.
Willshire can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Damato controls the pace.
Willshire trying to control the position here.
Damato trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Damato trying to control but Willshire is working from the bottom.
Damato is really struggling to control Willshire but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Damato postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Willshire is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Damato pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Willshire is keeping the position for now.

Willshire is looking to stand up but Damato isn't so interested in that idea.
Damato drops back, looking for a kneebar! Willshire looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Willshire looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Willshire!
Damato wants to control but Willshire postures up.
Damato sneaks back into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Damato actively working from the bottom here.
Damato has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Willshire is on him like a limpet, forcing Damato back against the cage.
Willshire looking to stall.
Damato definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Damato has clasped his hands together around Willshire's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Damato is looking to take a break and control but Willshire is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Willshire is trying to improve his position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Damato working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Willshire avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Damato.
Damato is trying to get an arm triangle but Willshire is defending well.
Willshire is pushing Damato's head away, looking to escape. Damato manages to hold on to the position though.
Damato trying to control the action but Willshire is working from the bottom.
Willshire takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Willshire can't do much from the bottom here.
Damato is working to tighten his grip on Willshire's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Willshire has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Damato is really squeezing tight and eventually Willshire passes out! Damato breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Rocco Damato!
