Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kokkoro Kirin (ranked 1763 p4p, 3073 weight class) and Endrju Golara (ranked 214 p4p, 363 weight class). Golara is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: MAKE ME STRONGER. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golara avoids a punch combination nicely.
A shot to the body from Golara misses
and Kirin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Golara throws a poor cross that misses
and Kirin counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kirin just misses with a punch to the body.
Golara throws a combination that misses
and Kirin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kirin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kirin looks to throw the jab but Golara is out of range.

enabling Kirin to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Endrju Golara has been cut.
Golara throws a lazy right hand but Kirin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Golara looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Golara looks to throw the jab but Kirin is out of range.

Kirin gets tackled into the cage by Golara. Golara maintains the clinch.
Golara tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Golara misses with a short punch on the inside.

Kirin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Golara misses with an uppercut.
Kirin throws a big counter combination but Golara scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Golara takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Golara closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Golara lands a right hand.
Kirin can't find room to land a body shot as Golara controls the action.

Kirin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Golara looks to throw the jab but Kirin is out of range.
It looked like Kirin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
We've been told by Kirin's head coaches at Thib's Sweat Shoppe that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Golara drops his hands momentarily and Kirin takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Golara throws a lazy uppercut
and Kirin counters with a left to the body.
Golara closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Golara misses with a combination
and Kirin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Golara tries to move into range but Kirin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Golara slips a jab from Kirin.
Kirin scores with a sloppy right hand. Golara should have avoided that one.
Kirin digs a good hook to Golara's body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kirin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Golara tries to clinch up.
No joy there for Kirin, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kirin is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Golara throws a right and a left that both miss.
Golara swinging wildly here.
Golara tries to clinch up but Kirin circles away and keeps his distance.

Golara gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Kirin lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Golara is looking to control Kirin's arms but Kirin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Golara has his back to the cage.
Golara misses with the head strike.
Golara throws a punch but it's blocked by Kirin.
Golara misses with some punches.
Kirin lands a right hand.
Kirin is working Golara over against the cage.
Golara blocks an uppercut.
Golara is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Kirin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Kirin fails to land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kirin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Kirin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Golara misses with a combination
and Kirin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Golara throws a series of punches but Kirin avoids them all with ease.
Kirin is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Golara takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Golara swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kirin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Golara wants to clinch but Kirin slips to the side
and Kirin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That has opened up Endrju Golara's cut even more.
Kirin connects with a body shot that sends Golara's belly button to the back.
Golara walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

and Kirin counters with a crisp one two that drops Golara! Kirin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Golara to his feet! Golara is in big trouble!

Golara is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Golara drops his hands momentarily. Kirin doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Golara staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Golara doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kokkoro Kirin!
