The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold throws a quick inside leg kick.
Gold looks to land a combination but Kong avoids it well.
Sloppy strikes from Kong. Those never looked like landing.
Gold appears to be looking for a big counter.
Kong stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gold.
Gold lands with a nice combination. Kong backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Jurgen Kong has been cut.
We've been hearing reports that Gold has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Kong pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kong takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kane Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gold looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Gold fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kong.
Gold connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Gold lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kong's sensitive parts.

Kong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gold rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kong moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kong.
Gold went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kane Gold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jurgen Kong.

Kong rushes Gold and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kong is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gold pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kong is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gold is keeping busy.

Gold pushes Kong back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Gold makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Gold digs a right hand into Kong's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kong's gas tank.
Gold lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Kong.
Gold has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Kong - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Gold, and another! Kong is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
