The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kapur shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diesel pinned against the cage. Diesel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kapur is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Kapur closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Diesel uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Rav Kapur has been cut.

Horrible takedown attempt by Kapur or perhaps it was just good defense by Diesel, which made it look bad.

Kapur closes the distance and clinches up with Diesel, looking for a takedown. Kapur pushes Diesel against the cage but Diesel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Diesel defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kapur.
Kapur goes for a double leg but Diesel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Diesel continues to drive forward.

Diesel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kapur tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kapur has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kapur will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Diesel is trying to escape the position but Kapur is controlling the position.

We've been hearing good reports from Kapur's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Kapur is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Diesel will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
