Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pauline Hanson (ranked 4931 p4p, 4829 weight class) and Sappa Prady (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Prady closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hanson did well to prevent Prady getting side control.

Prady is taking a breather. Hanson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hanson is trying to control but can't.
Prady seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Prady connects with a nice short shot to Hanson's temple.
Prady lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Hanson has his hands clasped together around Prady's back. He's all about the action.

Prady is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Prady in particular looking to stall.

Hanson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Prady wants to control but Hanson is keeping him busy.

Hanson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Prady defends well.

Hanson throws his legs up looking for a submission but Prady uses it to pass to side control.
Prady wants to stand but Hanson has his arm trapped.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hanson is trying to get back to half guard.
Hanson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Hanson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Prady's best efforts.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prady slips a nice elbow through Hanson's hands, connecting with Hanson's forehead.
Prady really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hanson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Prady in particular looking to stall.

Prady gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Prady is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Prady pulls Hanson in close to prevent any damage.

Prady looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hanson has picked Prady up and slammed him! Prady can't keep hold of the triangle and Hanson manages to pass to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prady is trying to improve his position.

Hanson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Prady knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Prady can't do much from the bottom here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hanson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Prady keeps working.

Hanson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Hanson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hanson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hanson has an Americana. Prady didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hanson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hanson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
