PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between So Slow (ranked 5605 p4p, 5868 weight class) and Sen Pai (ranked 566 p4p, 581 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pai looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pai scores with a decent looking hook.

Slow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Slow cracks Pai with a big right hand but Pai just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pai tries to buck Slow off but Slow is having none of it.
Pai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Slow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pai tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Slow easily slips into full mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pai tries to hold on but Slow pushes him away.
Slow fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Slow connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pai looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Slow lands a big shot there that rocks Pai but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Pai is looking to get to half guard.
Slow has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pai's face.

Pai is rocked!
A big strike lands for Slow! That's really hurt Pai and he's turned his back - Slow keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Slow jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
