Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Dalio (ranked 4255 p4p, 25072 weight class) and King Turn (ranked 486 p4p, 715 weight class). Ray Dalio has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Dalio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, King Turn !
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Dalio closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Turn manages to work his way to half guard, despite Dalio's best efforts.
The fighters are battling for position here. Turn manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Turn told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Dalio will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dalio wants to pass the guard but Turn is keeping the position.

Dalio is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Turn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Dalio stacks Turn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Dalio!
Dalio knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Turn on the ground.
Turn pushes Dalio away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Dalio gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Turn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Dalio perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dalio's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Dalio looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Turn is letting Dalio control him for a moment.
Turn tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dalio wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dalio has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Turn wants to control but Dalio postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Turn tries to clinch there but Dalio circles away.
Dalio keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Dalio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Turn dives in and grabs Dalio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dalio pushes down on Turn 's head and hops out.
Dalio shoots in looking for a takedown but Turn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dalio's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Dalio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dalio misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dalio shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Turn but Turn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Dalio. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Turn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dalio sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Turn throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dalio's waist but Dalio gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Turn off to one side.

If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Dalio is stinking the place up with his stalling.
Dalio is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Turn can do to turn this around?
Dalio seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Turn for as long as he can get away with.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Dalio.
Turn keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Turn regains half guard.

Turn is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Dalio pulls his head out easily.

Dalio works his foot free and advances to mount.
Dalio fails to take his opponent's back.
Dalio takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Turn rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dalio in particular looking to stall.
Dalio wants to free his trapped foot but Turn is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Turn is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dalio, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
