Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Askrew!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jackson Riggs!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riggs misses with the combination.
Riggs lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Askrew shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Riggs napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Riggs avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Askrew.
Riggs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Askrew. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Askrew controlling from side mount.

Askrew is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Riggs has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Askrew misses with the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Askrew decides to stand up, so the ref orders Riggs to his feet.
Askrew doesn't manage to clinch there - Riggs circles away.
Riggs looks to land a combination but Askrew avoids it well.
Askrew throws a sloppy head kick and Riggs moves out of range easily.

Askrew shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Askrew was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Askrew has hold of Riggs's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Riggs seems comfortable defending it but Askrew has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Riggs is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Riggs is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Askrew couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ben Askrew!
