And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kurt Wagner!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackburn throws a jab when Wagner was well out of range.
Wagner slips under a jab.
Wagner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Blackburn misses with a wild combination.
Despite the aggression on Wagner's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Wagner misses with a shot to the body
and Blackburn counters with a one-two to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blackburn stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blackburn wants it to stay on the feet.
Blackburn is looking to counter punch.
Wagner dives in for a single leg takedown but Blackburn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Blackburn throws a hook to the side of Wagner's head but Wagner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wagner is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Blackburn misses with an uppercut.
Wagner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blackburn throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
A low kick from Wagner is predictable there
and Blackburn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Kurt Wagner has been cut.
Wagner throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Blackburn shoots in and bounces Wagner off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Blackburn connects with a couple of short punches.
Blackburn scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Wagner is rocked!
Blackburn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Wagner has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Blackburn is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Wagner.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
