The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Turner misses with a double jab.
Thibodeaux Jr looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Thibodeaux Jr connects with a single shot there.
Thibodeaux Jr throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Thibodeaux Jr lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Turner shoots in and gets a takedown into Thibodeaux Jr's guard.
Turner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Turner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Thibodeaux Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
