The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yates throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
McGrowler changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
McGrowler uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yates.
Yates misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Yates jabbing away but nothing is landing.
McGrowler half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Yates forces McGrowler back against the cage and clinches.

McGrowler misses with a hook to the ribs.
McGrowler drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Yates gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Yates feints a jab promting McGrowler to slip. Yates then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. McGrowler slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Yates throws a combination but it was largely blocked by McGrowler.
Yates throws a nice looking combination but McGrowler bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Reilly Yates dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Yates loads up on a big right hand but McGrowler slips the punch.
Yates lands with an uppercut that bounces McGrowler off the cage and back into range.

Yates scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Oh McGrowler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Yates scores with a shot to the body.
Yates wobbles McGrowler with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Yates dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts McGrowler to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
