Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Strasburg (ranked 1376 p4p, 2910 weight class) and Cannon Fodder (ranked 207 p4p, 382 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Strasburg might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Seven Nation Army. Cannon Fodder told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strasburg misses with a takedown
and Fodder counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fodder looks to land a left hand but Strasburg moved out of range nicely.
Fodder connects with a crisp jab.
A shot to the liver by Fodder. Beautiful body shot.
Strasburg tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fodder sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Strasburg somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fodder, as that shot connected.

Fodder lands a head shot.
Strasburg drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

enabling Fodder to counter with a crisp jab.

and Fodder counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Fodder has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Hardcore Island MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
