Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mourao looking to score a takedown here. Hansen is defending well but Mourao drives through and ends up in Hansen's guard.
Hansen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mourao manages to get himself to full guard.

Mourao escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hansen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mourao working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hansen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hansen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Hansen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hansen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mourao is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hansen, into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hansen has his hands on Mourao's head, controlling the position.
Hansen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hansen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mourao defends it easily.
Hansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mourao on the ground.

Hansen is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Cozad The Island that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Mourao is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hansen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hansen is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Mourao has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mourao is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Hansen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mourao gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Hansen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mourao lets go of the hold and Hansen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
