Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Olyn Seran (ranked 795 p4p, 1515 weight class) and Quintet Tarantino (ranked 100 p4p, 207 weight class). Seran comes to the cage accompanied by Sound of Silence - Disturbed. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Quintet Tarantino!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarantino swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Seran counters with a nice uppercut.
It looks like Quintet Tarantino has been cut.
Tarantino throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Seran counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Seran has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Seran uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tarantino.
Tarantino misses with a wild body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Seran misses the target.
Tarantino swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Seran feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Tarantino throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Seran was covering up waiting for the punch and Tarantino finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Tarantino sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Seran's guard.
Seran wants to get back to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tarantino is fighting to break Seran's control of his arms but Seran is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tarantino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Seran is persistently looking for the submission but Tarantino is defending it well.

Quintet Tarantino has got the better of the ground game so far.
Seran looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Tarantino is controlling Seran 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

Tarantino has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tarantino wants to control from the top but Seran keeps moving.
Seran had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tarantino defends it easily.

Seran is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tarantino pulls his head out easily.

Seran is concentrating on defense, preventing Tarantino from advancing position.
Tarantino is keen to just control but Seran is a slippery customer.

Seran is looking for a sweep. Tarantino is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Seran has his foot on Tarantino's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tarantino works his way back into a safe position though.
Tarantino is looking to work some ground and pound but Seran has wrist control.
Tarantino must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Seran has control of Tarantino's left arm, preventing Tarantino from doing any damage.

and Seran counters with a crisp one two that drops Tarantino! Seran thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Tarantino to his feet! Tarantino is in big trouble!

Seran uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tarantino.
Tarantino misses with an uppercut
and Seran counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Tarantino has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Olyn Seran!
A relieved looking Olyn Seran thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
