Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pinina Zhikova (ranked 1810 p4p, 2938 weight class) and Constantin Niculescu (ranked 261 p4p, 396 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pinina Zhikova!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Constantin Niculescu!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhikova tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Niculescu swivels and escapes.
Zhikova shoots in and gets a takedown into Niculescu's guard.
Zhikova is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Zhikova's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Zhikova wants to pass the guard but Niculescu is keeping the position.
Zhikova is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zhikova wants to control from the top but Niculescu keeps moving.
Niculescu is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Zhikova misses with a takedown
and Niculescu counters with a stiff right hand.
Constantin Niculescu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Niculescu loads up on a big right hand but Zhikova slips the punch.
Zhikova shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Niculescu pinned against the cage. Niculescu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pinina Zhikova. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zhikova throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Niculescu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Zhikova is in Niculescu's guard.
Zhikova postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Niculescu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Zhikova, into his guard.

Zhikova looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Niculescu is defending well. Zhikova quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Niculescu has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Zhikova celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
