Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tahiwai Pihopa (ranked 4111 p4p, 24166 weight class) and Jean Luc Petit (ranked 382 p4p, 545 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petit uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pihopa.
Petit looks to land a right hand but Pihopa moved out of range.
Pihopa swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Petit tests Pihopa's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jab by Pihopa.
Pihopa throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Pihopa scores with a crisp jab that stopped Petit in his tracks.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pihopa. Petit does a little dance to reset his feet.
Petit throws a body punch but Pihopa moves out of range.

Pihopa was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pihopa lands a jab to Petit's midsection.
Pihopa connects with a crisp jab.
Petit misses with a left hand
and Pihopa counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Jean Luc Petit has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petit throws a jab but it's blocked by Pihopa.
Pihopa takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pihopa looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Pihopa takes a swing at Petit's ribcage but misses.
Pihopa stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pihopa misses the body punch
and Petit counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Petit lands a big head kick that sends Pihopa tumbling to the mat! Petit takes a step backwards and waves Pihopa back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Petit ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pihopa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Million Dollar Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Pihopa cracks Petit with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Petit drops Pihopa with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pihopa looks back up at him and smiles so Petit waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Pihopa is rocked!
Pihopa is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Petit doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Pihopa crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Pihopa's bad books for that mishap!
