Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurosh Kosi (ranked 4814 p4p, 3099 weight class) and Paak Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 438 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paak Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kosi drives through and clinches with Anderson against the cage.
Anderson looking for a takedown.

Anderson drags the fight down to the ground.

Kosi throws a big right hand that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kosi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kosi has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Anderson looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Anderson tries to roll but Kosi sticks to his back.

Kosi has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Anderson is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Kosi lands strikes to the head.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kosi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Anderson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Anderson is striking from the bottom but Kosi uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Kosi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kosi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Anderson can do to turn this around?

Kosi seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Anderson is trying to control but Kosi passes into side control!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kosi is trying to get an arm triangle but Anderson is defending well.
Anderson is trying to escape the position but Kosi is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Anderson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Kosi is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anderson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Anderson can't do much from the bottom here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kosi closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Anderson's guard.
Kosi passes Anderson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kosi wants to get back to his feet.
Kosi wants to control but Anderson is keeping him busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kosi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Anderson gets full guard.

Kosi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kosi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kurosh Kosi dominated that second round.
That's time! Kosi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Anderson tries to clinch

and Kosi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Anderson won't be happy with that.
Anderson wants to get back to his feet but Kosi is dominant here and he's now got Anderson's back!
Anderson wants to control his opponent's hands but Kosi gets his hands free.
Anderson tries to escape the position.
Kosi scores with punches and elbows.
Kosi has good solid back control here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kosi is working for a rear naked choke. Anderson is not defending it well and Kosi has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Anderson refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Anderson's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
