The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Green fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A big left from Jones misses.
Green steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Good leg kick by Green.

Jones tries to sprawl but Green drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Green wants to work for an arm triangle but Jones is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Green thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Jones's head.
Jones is looking to get back to full guard here but Green has managed to pass to side control instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones tries to control but Green manages to take his back.
Green has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Green is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Jones with him. Jones is trying to defend but Green has an arm under the chin now! Jones grimaces and is forced to tap out!
