Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Marmalade (ranked 2554 p4p, 2786 weight class) and Islandiano Islandish (ranked 286 p4p, 317 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Islandiano Islandish was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Islandish clinches up against the cage.
Marmalade throws an elbow but it misses.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Islandish has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Islandish is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marmalade is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Islandish to the mat. Islandish regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Marmalade is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Islandish is just riding it out for now. Marmalade eventually gives up the hold.

Marmalade takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fight stays on the outside here - Islandish looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Marmalade counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Marmalade has cracked Islandish with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Marmalade lands another huge swinging hook and Islandish tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Islandish, before Marmalade can land any more shots!
