Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael Manhandler (ranked 957 p4p, 896 weight class) and Mateus Gracie (ranked 106 p4p, 98 weight class). Manhandler comes into the arena with Mars Simula - Chevelle blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Manhandler connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gracie scrambles back to his feet.

Manhandler rushes Gracie and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Manhandler blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gracie tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Manhandler gets through Gracie's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Manhandler lands with a light punch inside.
Gracie misses with a short punch on the inside.
Manhandler pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Manhandler fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gracie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Manhandler throws a jab but it's blocked by Gracie.
A nice side step and Gracie releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Manhandler moves away and avoids it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Manhandler paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Horrible takedown attempt by Gracie or perhaps it was just good defense by Manhandler, which made it look bad.
