The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reko's corner calls for a 1-2. Reko obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Crunch! Reko slams his shin into Young's torso.
Reko misses with a double jab.
Young shoots in looking for a takedown. Reko tries to sprawl out of it but Young keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Reko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Young shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Reko counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Reko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Young manages to avoid it.
Young takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Young shoots for a double leg takedown but Reko sprawls well. He's pushed Young's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kappo Reko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tristan Young.
Young closes this distance looking for a takedown but Reko circles away.

Young closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Reko tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Young manages to move to mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Young postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reko looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Young cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Young is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Reko is forced to tap! Great finish!
