PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Holloway (ranked 4773 p4p, 5287 weight class) and Jeremy Clarkson (ranked 617 p4p, 657 weight class). Holloway comes to the cage accompanied by Godsmack- Voodoo. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Clarkson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clarkson misses with a takedown attempt - Holloway sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Holloway leaves Clarkson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Holloway attempts a counter takedown but Clarkson avoids it well and moves away.
Holloway keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Tyler Holloway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeremy Clarkson.

Holloway shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Clarkson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Clarkson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Clarkson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Holloway slows the pace down.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holloway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clarkson on the ground.
Holloway scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Clarkson to see if he's OK.
Holloway is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Holloway creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Clarkson sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Holloway cracks Clarkson with a big right hand but Clarkson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Holloway throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Clarkson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Holloway is in Clarkson's guard.

Clarkson is trying to maintain the position but Holloway is very close to passing his half guard.
Clarkson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Holloway is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Clarkson can do to turn this around?
Holloway is taking a breather. Clarkson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Holloway has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Clarkson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Holloway is working away from the top position though.

Holloway stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clarkson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well Holloway has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Tyler Holloway decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
