Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ching Chong (ranked 3556 p4p, 4734 weight class) and Jaxson Canellakis (ranked 399 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaxson Canellakis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ching Chong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jaxson Canellakis!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Canellakis shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Chong manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Chong pulls Canellakis in close to his closed guard and prevents Canellakis from doing any damage or advancing position.
Chong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Canellakis is looking for a sweep. Chong is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Chong tries to pass to full mount but Canellakis defends it.
Chong perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Canellakis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A looping hook to the body misses from Chong. Canellakis does a little dance to reset his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Canellakis tries to clinch but Chong is having none of it.

Ching Chong overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Canellakis doesn't have the hooks in and Chong manages to turn into his guard.
Chong slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Chong.

Chong seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Canellakis for as long as he can get away with.
