And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Williams!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy body kick from Williams
and Selvatico cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Selvatico knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground.

Williams is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Williams is trying to work for a kimura but Selvatico is defending well.
Selvatico keeps control of the position for the meantime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Selvatico is pressing down on Williams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams wants to control from the top but Selvatico keeps moving.
Selvatico keeping full guard, as Williams tries to pass.
Williams throws a big elbow that misses.
Selvatico can't keep his opponent in guard - Williams advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Selvatico is looking to improve his position.
Williams throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Williams is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Williams is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Selvatico is just riding it out for now. Williams eventually gives up the hold.
Williams has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Selvatico's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Williams looking to control but Selvatico is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Williams is working for a guillotine from mount but Selvatico frees his head quite easily.

Williams is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Williams extends the arm and Selvatico is forced to tap!

James Williams really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that HELLBENT logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
