Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cody Garbrandt (ranked 4669 p4p, 4905 weight class) and Obdulio Tupamaro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nice sprawl there from Tupamaro as Garbrandt shoots in.

A jab from Tupamaro finds it's way through Garbrandt's defenses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tupamaro tries to free his leg and advance position but Garbrandt is retaining full guard.
Garbrandt has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Tupamaro is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Tupamaro fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Garbrandt on the side of the head.
Garbrandt tries a head kick but it misses.
Garbrandt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tupamaro's guard.
Tupamaro looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tupamaro escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garbrandt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Tupamaro is breathing heavily.
Garbrandt trying to control the position from guard on top but Tupamaro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tupamaro is looking for a triangle but Garbrandt pushes his legs off easily.

Garbrandt is in close to Tupamaro's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Tupamaro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garbrandt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tupamaro can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Garbrandt controls the pace.

Garbrandt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tupamaro for as long as he can get away with.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Garbrandt takes a little break here. Tupamaro wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Tupamaro unleashes a big counter combination but Garbrandt bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Tupamaro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Garbrandt to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Garbrandt postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cody Garbrandt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tupamaro has his foot on Garbrandt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garbrandt works his way back into a safe position though.

Garbrandt works to advance to full mount. Tupamaro defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tupamaro tries to hold on but Garbrandt pushes him away.
Garbrandt is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Garbrandt lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Tupamaro hang on?

Garbrandt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tupamaro can do to turn this around?
A big strike lands for Garbrandt! That's really hurt Tupamaro and he's turned his back - Garbrandt keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Garbrandt jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
