The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johnson is trying to defend but Jackson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Johnson tries to kick Jackson off in order to stand up. Jackson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Jackson cracks Johnson with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Jackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Johnson takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Johnson gets back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Johnson as he works his way to full guard.
