Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jaden Saint (ranked 577 p4p, 626 weight class) and Magnus Pyke (ranked 75 p4p, 83 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Magnus Pyke!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pyke tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Saint swivels and escapes.
Pyke misses with a takedown attempt
and Saint counters with a straight right hand.
Pyke avoids the head kick by Saint.

Pyke fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Saint sprawls well initially but Pyke persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Saint has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Pyke is on him like a limpet, forcing Saint back against the cage.
Pyke wants a takedown but no success here.
Jaden Saint has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magnus Pyke.

Saint gets control of Pyke's arms and successfully pulls guard. Saint will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Saint is looking to regain half guard here but Pyke keeps moving and retains side control.

Pyke moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Saint has worked his arm free - good work by Saint!

Pyke tries for a kimura but Saint is defending well.
Saint is pushing Pyke's head away, looking to escape. Pyke manages to hold on to the position though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Magnus Pyke will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pyke shoots in looking for a takedown. Saint tries to sprawl out of it but Pyke keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Saint manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Despite the aggression on Pyke's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Saint lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Magnus Pyke has been cut.
Saint with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Saint misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Saint throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pyke blocks a head kick by Saint.
Saint throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pyke.

Pyke is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Saint's half guard.

Pyke is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Saint defends it well.

Saint has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pyke is working away from the top position though.

Pyke wants to lay and pray for a moment but Saint keeps working.

Pyke is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Saint knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Saint is looking for a sweep.
Saint wants to get back to his feet but Pyke is dominant here and he's now got Saint's back!

Pyke is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Saint defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
You can see the frustration on Saint's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Pyke has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Saint enables Pyke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Saint manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Saint has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Pyke off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Saint stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Saint wants it to stay on the feet.
Jaden Saint has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Magnus Pyke.
Pyke changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saint tries to avoid it but Pyke manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saint to the ground. Saint escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pyke takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Saint fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Pyke moves out of range as Saint throws a body kick.
Saint dips to his left and cracks Pyke with an uppercut!
Saint throws a monster overhand right that drops Pyke! Saint follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

A very excited looking Jaden Saint rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
