Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Horne (ranked 4824 p4p, 4733 weight class) and Maxmilian Outess (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Taylor Horne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maxmilian Outess!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Outess clinches up with Horne and pushes him back against the cage.
Outess misses with a short punch on the inside.
Outess is struggling to control the position.
Horne jumps guard but Outess stands there with Horne around his waist. Horne gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Outess turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Outess manages to end up in side control.
Horne tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Outess is working for a guillotine from mount but Horne frees his head quite easily.
Horne is trying to reverse the position but instead Outess has taken his back - oops!
Outess scores with punches and elbows.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Outess avoiding Horne 's attempts to control his hands.
Outess has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Horne's body.
Outess is landing with strikes from the back.
Outess throwing damaging strikes from the back! Horne could be in trouble here!
Horne is really stuck here.
Outess lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Horne hold on?!
Outess has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Horne wants to get back to his feet.
Horne is trying to break free.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Outess has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Horne has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Outess throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Horne!

Horne rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Outess is taking a breather. Horne says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Horne throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Horne trying to hold on to Outess's head to control him but Outess postures up.
Outess keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Maxmilian Outess dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Horne shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Outess pinned against the cage. Outess gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horne is looking to clinch but Outess is avoiding it.
A head kick misses from Horne.
Outess tries to clinch there but Horne circles away.
Horne misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horne shoots in looking for a takedown. Outess tries to sprawl out of it but Horne keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Outess manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Outess throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Horne gets caught napping as Outess dives in and scores a takedown. Horne manages to retain guard.
Horne is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Outess dives into side control.

Outess passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Horne!
Horne is trying desperately to improve position.
Outess controlling the position easily from mount.
Maxmilian Outess has got the better of the ground game so far.
Outess lands a heavy elbow.

Outess lands a couple of good shots and Horne has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Outess. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Outess is looking for the choke from the back position but Horne is controlling his hands well.
Outess controls the action.

Outess is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Horne. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Outess has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Outess is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Horne is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Outess has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Horne is defending well but eventually Outess manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Horne has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
