Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verdins moves out of range of the strikes.
McPunchist throws out a loose jab but Verdins uses good head movement to avoid it.

It looks like Martins Verdins has been cut.

Verdins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McPunchist is fending him off so far but Verdins persists. Nope, McPunchist circles away and we're back to standing.
McPunchist throws a jab but it's blocked by Verdins.
McPunchist throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

McPunchist drives through and clinches with Verdins against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Verdins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Punchy McPunchist spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
