Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Dew (ranked 6036 p4p, 5093 weight class) and Bryant Taylor (ranked 697 p4p, 611 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mathew Dew has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mathew Dew seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dew shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Taylor is trying to defend but Dew finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Dew prevents Taylor from standing back up.
Dew sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Taylor defending well though.
Dew working Taylor over with strikes.
Taylor wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taylor manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Dew keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Dew tries to score a body lock takedown but Taylor shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Taylor is trying to push Dew away but Dew has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Taylor breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Taylor. Dew does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bryant Taylor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Good exchange - Dew coming out on top.
Taylor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dew bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Dew knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taylor on the ground.

Dew laying and praying for a moment but Taylor takes advantage and regains half guard.

Dew is stalling here. Taylor is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Dew seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Taylor has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Dew tries to bench press Taylor off him but Taylor keeps the position.

Taylor decides to stand back up.
Taylor falls off balance throwing a combination
and Dew counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Dew definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Taylor manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Taylor throws a body punch but Dew moves out of range.
Dew changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Bryant Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dew dodges the punch combination from Taylor.
Taylor jabs at Dew's body.
Taylor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Dew counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Dew works over Taylor with some ground and pound from guard.
Dew is in close to Taylor's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dew stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Taylor swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Taylor is looking to stand up but Dew isn't so interested in that idea.
Taylor manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Taylor jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Dew ducks right into an uppercut from Taylor.
Dew throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Taylor was covering up waiting for the punch and Dew finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Dew makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Bryant Taylor will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Taylor misses with a wild body shot.
Dew drops down looking for a counter takedown but Taylor sprawls and moves away.
Dew steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taylor.
Dew throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dew shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Taylor manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Dew is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Taylor is keeping busy.
Dew is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Taylor pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Taylor throws out a loose jab but Dew uses good head movement to avoid it.

Taylor tries to move into range but Dew moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Dew shoots in looking for a takedown. Taylor tries to sprawl out of it but Dew keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taylor manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dew shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dew connects with a nice short shot to Taylor's temple.

Dew seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Taylor pushes Dew off looking to stand but Dew dives back in and keeps control.
Dew lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Dew scores with a big shot! Taylor's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Taylor! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mathew Dew!
