Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerlach Rutger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Litoris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Litoris comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Khia - My Neck, my Back kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike Litoris!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Litoris fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rutger feints and as Litoris raises his hands in defense, Rutger changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rutger keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Litoris's head.
Rutger is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Litoris working for a triangle but Rutger defends it easily.
Rutger wants to control from the top but Litoris keeps moving.
Rutger seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Litoris looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Rutger is working Litoris over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Rutger lands a couple of elbows.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rutger is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Litoris keeping moving, preventing Rutger from controlling successfully.
Litoris escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rutger gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rutger is working Litoris over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Rutger controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Rutger landing with the ground and pound.
Litoris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rutger can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rutger postures up and lands a big shot to Litoris's brow.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rutger not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rutger chips away with some ground and pound.
Rutger passes Litoris's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Rutger is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Rutger lands strikes from half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rutger connects with a nice short shot to Litoris's temple.
Rutger is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Litoris!
Rutger cracks Litoris with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Litoris is rocked!
Litoris takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Rutger's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
