Nice takedown defense from Paulo. No joy for Kaalim on that attempt.
Kaalim closes the distance and clinches up with Paulo, looking for a takedown. Kaalim pushes Paulo against the cage but Paulo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Paulo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Paulo with the ground and pound but Kaalim uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Paulo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kaalim has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Paulo has managed to get both his arms back between Kaalim's legs - danger averted.
Kaalim has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Paulo doesn't defend quickly enough and Kaalim has managed to lock this one up! Can Paulo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kaalim on a fantastic submission victory.
