Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shu Fang Tzeng (ranked 1079 p4p, 2044 weight class) and Darrion Vaughn (ranked 66 p4p, 109 weight class). Tzeng comes to the cage accompanied by Mantra Chant. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shu Fang Tzeng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Darrion Vaughn!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughn stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Tzeng fails with the takedown.
Tzeng looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Vaughn!
Tzeng is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vaughn knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vaughn is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tzeng has just dragged him back down to the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tzeng wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vaughn keeps working.

Vaughn parries the strikes from Tzeng easily there. Tzeng is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Vaughn to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tzeng has hold of Vaughn's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vaughn manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Vaughn defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tzeng.
Tzeng is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vaughn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Tzeng goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Vaughn is on top in guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Tzeng's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Vaughn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tzeng. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tzeng controls Vaughn momentarily but Vaughn frees himself.

Tzeng jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vaughn walks away with a smile on his face. Tzeng gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Darrion Vaughn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vaughn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vaughn feints the counter takedown.
Vaughn tries a head kick but it misses.
Tzeng attempts a counter takedown but Vaughn avoids it well and moves away.
Vaughn dips to his left and cracks Tzeng with an uppercut!
Vaughn stalks Tzeng and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Tzeng's face. Tzeng staggers backwards, shaken.

and Tzeng counters with a takedown into side control.
Vaughn sneaks out the side door and pushes Tzeng away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tzeng gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Darrion Vaughn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vaughn throws a body punch but Tzeng moves out of range.
Vaughn lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tzeng at a distance.
Tzeng ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Tzeng closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Vaughn to the mat! Vaughn manages to get full guard.

Tzeng is pushing down on Vaughn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vaughn is fighting to maintain full guard but Tzeng has managed to sneak the leg through.
Tzeng maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Vaughn could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Tzeng has cracked it and Vaughn is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Tzeng!
