Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Cano (ranked 4564 p4p, 4177 weight class) and Lac Chin Strip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lac Chin Strip will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chin Strip with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Nice uppercut lands for Chin Strip. That snapped Cano's head back.
Cano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Chin Strip counters with a straight right hand.
Cano tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chin Strip defends well and Cano ends up having to push Chin Strip into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Chin Strip appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Cano tries to score a body lock takedown but Chin Strip shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matheus Cano. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cano is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Chin Strip gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Chin Strip manages to break the clinch.
Chin Strip moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Matheus Cano has been cut.

Chin Strip throws a good cross that connects.
Cano tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Chin Strip counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Cano is breathing heavily.
Chin Strip lands a jab to the head.
Chin Strip lands with a right hand.
Lac Chin Strip seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chin Strip cracks a nice hook into Cano's ribs.
Chin Strip cracks Cano with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Cano is rocked!
Cano takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Oh Cano is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Matheus Cano's cut is getting worse.
Chin Strip lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Cano up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Chin Strip from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Cano's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
